AlphaGo vs Lee Sedol Match: Korean Baduk Association Wants a Rematch with AlphaGo

Korean Baduk Association (KBA) wants a rematch with Deepmind's AlphaGo.

Yang Jae-Ho, secretary general of KBA, said " We have suggested a rematch to Deepmind's AlphaGo".

AlphaGo is up 3-1 to Korean Go player Lee Sedol 9dan. They are playing 5 matches total and the side that wins 3 games are the winner.

Yang said "For the match human has lost, however, we would like to analyze the match and be prepared more thoroughly for the next event"

The request was made by KBA right after match 4 victory of Lee against AlphaGo. However, DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis responded by saying " We need to discuss with Google headquarter" and didn't confirm anything.

5 game match even took place when Deepmind offered 1 million prize to Lee Sedol.

Yang said "We want the rematch within 3 months, however, nothing has been confirmed whether Lee will play again or another player will play AlphaGo yet."

Lee, the world champion for last decade, previously said that he could sweep AlphaGo 5-0 or will lose one game utmost before the match. However, the world has discovered that AlphaGo was much stronger and intelligent than most people thought. Still, Lee has pulled off one amazing victory against AlphaGo which is connected to 1,202 servers.
