Legendary game designer Warren Spector is now officially with OtherSide Entertainment serving full-time as a studio director.

Spector is credited for a number of valuable works in the gaming industry with legendary titles in his spectacular resume like Deus Ex, Ultima, Wing Commander, Thief, and the original System Shock game.

As OtherSide Entertainment's highly prized asset, the game designer has been lured into the collaboration to help develop the revival of the game he originally created.

After completing on the foregoing projects in creative capacity, he served as an advisor for OtherSide while fulfilling his academic duties at the University of Texas Austin.

"I've loved working with students as Director of the Denius-Sams Gaming Academy in the University of Texas' Moody College of Communication. But when the opportunity to have a bigger role in bringing Underworld Ascendant to life, as well as playing in the System Shock universe once again, helping to bring these games to a 21st century audience, I just couldn't say no.," said Spector as quoted by Game Planet.

In its official Facebook page, OtherSide announced their collaboration with Spector stating that he will also be involved in the Underworld Ascendant project before starting into System Shock 3.

"Warren has acted as a Creative Advisor to OtherSide since the studio's inception. Following the end of this semester's classes at UT Austin, he will transition into a full-time position as one of OtherSide's Studio Directors. Warren will continue to help in a creative capacity on Underworld Ascendant and, later this year, ramp up and lead the team developing System Shock 3," the statement reads as mentioned in a report by TechnoBuffalo.

System Shock was Spector's brainchild which was produced in 1994- a breakthrough first-person game that combined action, role-playing, and problem solving which lead to the birth of a number of spiritual successors such as Deus Ex and the BioShock series according to Wired.
