Instagram 'Being' Enables You To Scroll Feeds From Friends As Well As Celebrities
A new hot app called "Being" would enable users to enjoy a voyeur-like experience while viewing Instagram from another individual's perspective. So this gives you an idea how socialites, celebrities, or even your friends spend their idle time on the image sharing service.
This is an interesting must-have download item for those who want to take a peek or stalk other people's activity on the popular photo sharing platform.
"Being lets users search for whatever Instagram users they want and then "become" them. Once they've done that, they can see the chosen user's feed, exactly as that person sees it. So for instance, Kim Kardashian follows 102 people on Instagram, most of whom are her sisters, makeup artists she likes, and her friends. If a dedicated fan, or a curious onlooker, wants to experience the app like Kardashian does, they easily can," wrote Ashley Carman in her article for The Verge.
Apart from enabling you to stalk your favorite stars, it offers an exciting insight into how people you personally knew- friends, lovers, siblings, etc. - use Instagram by looking into their feeds and the contents they share among other things.
More than a stalking app, Being is also community-oriented which allows you to keep track of trending accounts or communities where your interests lie.
"There are so many interesting ideas given the unique nature of the app and how it unlocks the power of who someone follows as opposed to what they post. Currently, we are most focused on building the user base and making the app experience as great as possible," remarked app creator Adam Mashaal, who was also behind Mashfeed in a report by Tech Crunch.
For its creator, using the app is a platform for social media discovery- a departure from self-centeredness to 'other-centeredness'.
"It's amazing what you can discover about someone by viewing Instagram from their perspective. I learned that Lady Gaga is into muscle cars, that Donald Trump follows only Trump-related companies, and I even momentarily felt like I was part of Taylor Swift's #girlsquad," added Mashaal as quoted by Business Insider in a story picked up from the Medium
