Google Inbox Will Let You Undo Sent Emails, Support Other Browsers and Tablets Too
Google is developing two new features that will allow Inbox users to undo the send option for emails and function through other browsers.
Google is making the email communication system a lot simpler by introducing a new feature that we all wished for. During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit, Google Inbox team revealed that two features are underway for the new email app that changes the way how emails work.
"It's still early days, so we have really exciting plans for Inbox: we're starting with email, but ultimately our goal is to build a tool to manage all of the things you need to get back to in your life," a Google software engineer, Taylor Kourim, who is working on Inbox revealed during Reddit AMA, wrote. "I can't give all of them away but a few that I can mention are undo send, cross-browser support, and tablet support."
This will be quite an interesting addition to the developing Inbox app. The "undo send" function is the highlight but details on how it will work remains under the wraps.
Google launched Inbox in October as an alternative to its existing email platform. The new system is filled with new features that make handling emails a lot simpler. Inbox automatically sifts through all the incoming emails and clubs them into different categories, like bank statements, bills and receipts under one category. The new email system learns by users' behavior and performs similar actions in the future.
In addition to the undo send function, Google will eventually bring its Inbox to tablets and other browsers. Inbox is currently supported through Google Chrome browser and adding support for other browsers means welcoming new users to switch to the latest app.
Inbox is currently undergoing its test phase and is open for users to test it through an invite. Users can register their interest to try Inbox by requesting an invite and help Google build a better product by giving feedback.
