Will the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers duke it out again for the championship title at the end of the season? If the NBA 2K16 simulation had its way, fans will be watching the Warriors repeat by beating the Cavaliers in seven.

In the NBA 2K16 simulation, however, the Warriors did not finish first in the western conference. Instead, the Warriors ended up in second place after the Oklahoma City Thunder, who will have a healthy Kevin Durant this season. NBA 2K16 also predicted that Durant will be averaging 30.7 points per game, leading to his second MVP title.

Despite their success, the Thunder lost to the fourth-seeded San Antonio Spurs in the semifinals. The Warriors then defeated the Spurs to reach the finals for the second straight season.

On the eastern conference side, the simulation game has the Cavaliers winning the entire conference. The Cavaliers made it to the finals again by beating the number two seed, the Chicago Bulls, in five games. The Miami Heat took the third seed and lost in the first round of the playoffs against the sixth-seeded Toronto Raptors.

Although it might be too early to make playoff predictions, especially since variables such as trades and players' health play a huge factor, it is interesting to note that the NBA 2K15 simulation predicted that the Warriors would beat the Cavaliers in six games to win the championship title.

In case you have already forgotten, that was exactly how the series played out.

The other predictions that NBA 2K16 made was that Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans will win Defensive Player of the Year and D'Angelo Russell of the Los Angeles Lakers will win Rookie of the Year.
