Lamar Odom Update: Fans Offer To Donate Their Kidneys To Him
The organs of Lamar Odom that have suffered the most due to overdose of pills and drugs are his kidneys. While the other organs in the body showed signs of recouping after he woke up from his unconscious state last Friday, the kidneys did not show improvement, according to HNGN.
At present, he is going through six hours of dialysis everyday as his kidneys have failed. Hence, he needs a transplant.
Last Thursday, he went through a couple of emergency surgeries, though it is not known what they were for. Still, his devoted fans are worried enough to offer him their kidneys to save the NBA star.
A number of his fans have been trying to get in touch with him on social media, in order to convey that they are ready to give him a kidney if a transplant were to be done, according to TMZ. Many fans have even given personal health details, ready to convey the details of their blood type as well as their contacts.
"I don't just say stuff," one fan wrote. "If Lamar needs a kidney I'm willing to donate." Another fan tweeted at Kardashian specifically with his phone number, saying, "I need Lamar to pull from this. Willing to donate a kidney if it will help PLEASE my blood type is o+." His fans are really pushing for him, and it's clear just how much he is loved and supported.
"If Lamar Odom needs a kidney, I will gladly give up one of mine without a second thought," another fan wrote. "Mistakes do not define us. #SecondChance #Believe."
A few fans, though, have been trying to pinch him of some money. One man said that he would sell his kidney for $25,000, while another asked for $100,000.
