While the next book by George R R Martin is yet to be released, internet is rife with rumors and updates feeding the fans with daily dose of information about the latest book that is on the cusp of being launched. If the rumors are to be believed, Stannis Baratheon is still alive, unlike the popular show "Game of Thrones" where he was killed by Brienne of Tarth, avenging the death of her master, Renly Baratheon. This means that the fans will be reading more about Stannis in the upcoming book, says the Latin Post.

Time reported that even though the viewers were shown in Game of Thrones that Stannis has been killed, the fans believe that since they never really saw him dead, chances are he is still alive. The Winds of Winter is the latest book in the series "A Song of Ice and Fire".

Martin told to Spiegel Online that one of the characters in his book is going to die. Even though he/she may not just die right now, there will be interesting set of events building up to their ultimate demise.

As told to Observer, Martin says that much of his book's inspiration comes from J R R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. He said that he yearns to give his book a similar kind of ending.

While the popular show series has diverged quite a bit from the book, there may be certain similarities as well as dissimilarities that the fans will come across as they see the show and read the books. The release date of the sequel to the famous book "A song of Ice and Fire" is still under the shroud of mystery but the plot's revelation has already been made for the hungry fans, reports Realty Today.
