Khloé Kardashian Breaks Silence after Lamar Odom Makes ‘Miraculous’ Recovery

Khloé Kardashian has finally released a statement about her estranged husband, Lamar Odom, who was hospitalized last Tuesday after being found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada. He reportedly overdosed on a bad mixture of drugs and herbal remedies.

The 31-year-old reality TV star, who has been separated from Odom, 35, for about two years, wrote on her website:

"I am so thankful to family, friends, and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. 

You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!"

The statement was released shortly after news surfaced claiming that Odom has been airlifted to a Los Angeles hospital where he will received more specialized treatments. Reports claimed that the hospital was Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Since waking up from his coma this past Friday, Odom has been able to talk, process questions and breathe without the help of a ventilator. The former NBA player is reportedly starting physical therapy.

TMZ reported that doctors at Cedar will perform brain tests to determine how badly the strokes had hurt Odom's brain function. The paparazzi website also claimed that despite Odom's progress, "his kidneys are shot." Odom is reportedly on dialysis and could be placed on the transplant list.

Kardashian, Odom's father and Odom's two children will reportedly remain by Odom's side in LA.
