Negev Dessert Shooting and Stabbing Kills Two People
Two people were killed in a shooting attack by Israeli Bedouin Arab in City of Beersheba, South of Israel. In this shocking incident, an African asylum seeker was shot by the security guard mistaking it as a terrorist attack. The bystanders cursed the wounded as he lay on the street in pool of his own blood, reported Washington Post.
The hostile reaction by the Israeli security forces has been drawing harsh criticism for their hard reactions, especially from the Palestinians, blaming the Israelis for using cruel tactics instead of just apprehending the suspects. This news follows after growing unrest about the Arab-Israel tensions that have dominated the news channels for several weeks. The graphic video depicts the growing mistrust amongst Israelis and their anger towards the rising violence, as per Business News World.
Since October, eight Israelis have been attacked and killed by Palestinians that have raised threat of a widespread uprising by the Palestinians. 18 assailants have so far been shot and killed by the police and soldiers on spot. The investigation has begun by the Israeli police into the matter that has been described by the local media as lynching against an innocent man. The victim was an Eritrean national named Haftom Zarhum who was killed as a result of a chaos on the bus station of Beersheba, says India Everyday. In this attack, a Bedouin Arab killed a 19-year-old soldier Omri Levy, whose rifle was then taken by the assailant and used to wound at least a dozen Israelis. The Eritrean asylum seeker was mistakenly shot who was thought to be another attacker.
In the video doing the rounds, Zarhum lay hurt and wounded as men are seen kicking him in the head. People are seen hurting the wounded man as they scream, "Death to Arabs!" and "The people of Israel live!"
