Bobby Brown Writing 'Raw, Unvarnished' Memoir
Bobby Brown has recently faced two tragedies---the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston and the mysterious passing away of his daughter Bobbi Kristina. He wants the world to know what he went through.
The 46-year-old singer has thus written and will publish a memoir with Dey Street Books, titled "My Prerogative," according to the Associated Press. Described as a "journey through his crazy, exciting, fascinating world," the book will be out by June 2016.
"Right after I signed on to write my story, I went through one of the most agonizing traumas I had ever experienced with the death of my daughter," he said. "But I was surprised by how therapeutic it was to work on this project, to look at the entire arc of my life and to realize that although there has been considerable pain, I have also been incredibly blessed. I hope my fans and other readers of this book will be entertained by this trip...And I hope they will feel that I have been as honest and open with them in these pages as I have tried to be my entire life."
This memoir is "raw and unvarnished" according to the Dey Street Books. They promise to "tell the full story of his life and set the record straight, particularly about his relationship with Whitney Houston," says HNGN.
He had to also handle some slamming from his in-laws, who think he had played a role in his ex-wife's involvement with drugs. But now, the whole truth---and hopefully nothing but the truth---will be revealed by this new memoir.
The focus of the memoir will now be not only on the major defects and losses in his life, but also on his overall career, especially his past struggles with drugs and alcohol, according to Rolling Stone.
