Bryan Cranston wants a piece of the Marvel Universe.

The 59-year-old actor, known for his roles in "Breaking Bad" and "Malcolm in the Middle," was asked during New York Comic-Con who his top Marvel villain choice would be. Cranston replied that his choice would be Mr. Sinister (Mr. Sinister is owned by 20th Century Fox). Cranston was sitting on a panel for the TV show, "Supermansion."

Mr. Sinister is a villain from X-Men who was created by Chris Claremont. Before Mr. Sinister became a villain, he was an ordinary man named Nathaniel Essex who was obsessed with Charles Darwin's evolution theory. Mr. Sinister was a contemporary of Darwin.

After doing his own research on humans and mutations, Mr. Sinister meets Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur) who offers him the chance to live a longer life with advanced strength and healing abilities. Mr. Sinister ends up choosing a path with Nur after his wife calls him sinister while on her deathbed.

Before NYCC 2015, Cranston told Metro that ideally, he would want to play a "nasty" villain created from scratch.

"You know what I'd like to do? I'd like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic," Cranston told Metro at the London Film Festival premiere of "Trumbo." "Create one from scratch... I don't know what I would do but it would be nasty."

Cranston's next movie, "Trumbo," comes out on Nov. 6, 2015. The movie is about Hollywood screenwriter, Dalton Trumbo, who is blacklisted after he becomes a Communist. Elle Fanning, Diane Lane and Helen Mirren also star in the film.
