Surface Pro 4 Release Date, Price, Specs and Rumors: How Apple And Google Vindicated Microsoft's Vision

Microsoft's surface line of tablets has gone from being 'nobody' to the most talked about tablet in town. As the rumored launch date of Surface Pro 4 draws near, the tech world now realizes the prudence the Redmond giant had more than a decade ago when it designed the tablet with a keyboard.

Keeping in view recent releases of iPad Pro and Google's Pixel C, India Today wrote the launches are testimonial to Microsoft's far sightedness when it spoke about using keyboard with tablets. The idea was rubbished but Microsoft persevered. Both Apple and Google have now realized that keyboards do enhance productivity and turn tablets into indispensable gadgets. Microsoft's Surface line of tablets has been working with keyboards for five years now.

Over the years, sales of Surface tablets zoomed, making them a hit among both the low-end and the enterprise users.

The anticipation and hype around Surface Pro 4's impending launch is also a testimonial to the respect the product has earned; many see it as a fitting response to Apple's iPad Pro.

Surface Pro 4 may however be more than just a response, if its speculated specifications are any indication. According to Christian Post, two size variants are expected to be unveiled with Windows 10 this month. The devices may be powered by the new Intel Skylake processors and may boost of as much as 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB storage space!
