Apple iPhone 6s RUMORS: Shape And Additional Fourth Color Leaked
Details about the new exterior design and physical appearance of Apple's new iPhone 6s have begun to leak out ahead of the company's unveiling of a slew of new products Wednesday at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
TechCrunch reports that most seasoned Apple watchers expect only two new phones this year, as last year was a big one for the company when it introduced a larger version of its fame iPhone that was more akin to a phablet than the smaller, more traditional iPhones of the past.
One likely change is the use of a stronger metal after it was revealed that some of the last redesigns would bend if someone sat wrong or kept the phone in tight pants and sat for long periods of time. This change seems likely to be in the form of 7000 series aluminum.
There are also rumors the company may offer the phone in pink.
Hardware upgrades for the new phones include a faster chip and 2 gigabytes of RAM. The camera will also be getting an upgrade in the form of new sensors allowing it to work as a 12 megapixel camera and giving it the ability to support 4K video recording.
The company may also unveil something called "3D force touch" that would create three different levels of touch creating different effects on the screen. It is said there will be three levels that are a tap, a press, and a harder press. The company has already deployed a similar technology on its Apple Watch.
It is also expected that the event will see the expansion of Siri beyond the iPhone and into other Apple products, most like the company's Apple TV offering.
