James Franco will be immersing himself with a lot of people, kids this time, as he is set to teach selected high school students at Palo Alto High School in California.

First seen on his Instagram, the announcement goes, "PALO ALTO HIGH SCHOOL - I will be teaching an 8 part film class for HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS."

A report from the Inquisitr said that interested high school students from grades 9-12 should submit a 200-word essay explaining an applicant's reason in joining the short-term film class and his/her contribution to the group.

The applicant must also make use of technology, specifically, a smartphone in creatively introducing oneself.

The self-introduction supposed to be posted on Youtube and the essay must be submitted on or before September 10, 2015.

Franco's class is slated to start on September 13, 2015 which is expected to accommodate only 24 students who will be divided into groups of threes. The groups will then be given a title or theme that will serve as the basis on the actual films that they will present by the end of 2015.

Sounds like a serious job involve here and not just a reenactment of a previous film by James Franco and Seth Rogen wherein they perform as substitute teachers who engaged in smoking pot!

In fact, in the online application, the 38-year old actor is described as 'a very well-known director and actor supported by a team of professionals,' The Hollywood Reporter said.

This will be a great opportunity for the actor to revisit his past as he is set to reunite one of his former teachers, Palo Alto High School journalism teacher Esther Wojcicki in teaching selected students in the eight-part film class, according to Palo Alto Online.
