Hillary Clinton Apologises For Email Confusion, But Not For Using Private Email Server

Hillary Clinton has apologised about her "confusing" email controversy, but she refuses to do so for using a "private email server".

"At the end of the day, I am sorry that this has been confusing to people and has raised a lot of questions, but there are answers to all these questions," Clinton said of her email server after being pressed by MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell on whether she should apologize.

"And I take responsibility and it wasn't the best choice," according to nydailynews.

She admitted that she did wish "that I had made a different choice" about using a personal email and server. In retrospect it certainly would have been better. I take responsibility, I should have had two accounts, one for personal and one for work-related," she said.

A lot of questions have been thrown at her about her use of a private email server, which Republicans say tend to expose national security to risk. Surveys say that she has faulted with voters, not being seen as "honest" with most of them.

Her poll numbers have fallen as the number of people who consider her "untrustworthy" has gone up, according to nbcnews.

It was upsetting to her that people doubted her honesty. She said that "it certainly doesn't make me feel good" when asked about a recent poll in which the most common word voters reacted to when asked about her was "liar," yet she felt that she would be able to show "the voters by the time this race has run its course."

She skirted questions about whether she felt she was "too lawyerly". Regarding Donald Trump, she said his insults are clear why she's so careful about what she says.

"He's great at innuendo and conspiracy theories and really defaming people. That's not what I want to do in my campaign," she said. "Some people say I'm careful about what I say," she acknowledged, saying she is so cautious because "loose talk, insults ... they have consequences" from presidential candidates.
