‘Dance Mom’ Cast Update: Alleged Stalker sent Pornography to Underage Star
A man who has been accused of stalking one of the girls from Lifetime's "Dance Moms" reportedly sent her and three other minors suspicious packages that included child pornography.
The man from San Diego, Phoenix Sundown, was arrested on Wednesday in California after investigators in Murrysville, PA found porn, letters and several other items in packages that were addressed to four underage girls.
Deputy District Attorney Carlos Campbell stated after court that one of the girls is on the reality TV show about young dancers who are developing their careers at Abby Lee Millers' dance studio in Penn Hills. The packages were reportedly sent to the P.O. Box.
Postal inspector Tammy Mayle stated that the packages "contained items that were inappropriate for minors - harassing, stalking items." It is currently unclear what caused the authorities to check the packages.
"They know I'm not going to come swinging through a rope and smashing through a window and screaming with print outs that we married," the 36-year-old man had said in an interview (click here). "I'm not that crazy."
Sundown is now facing four counts of distributing harmful material to an underage girl. If convicted, he can face five years and eight months in prison. Sundown was being held on a $25,000 bond in San Diego Central Jai. NBC San Diego reported that he is now being held on $250,000 bail.
According to Dan Haggerty, Sundown stated that celebrities talk to him via code on social media. He also said that he sent the girl things he no longer wanted because he was moving.
Sundown has a history of mental illness.
