With just a week to for September, the frenzy over Apple's rumored launch of iPhone 6S and the bigger Plus variant is building up.

According to Forbes, information from Europe and Japan suggests the new iPhone would go on sale September 18. The iPhone 6S would be thicker and sturdier than previous generation iPhone and could feature iOS 9. The A9 chip will be able to perform at around 30 percent better thanks to new firmware's focus on performance.

The Telegraph reports that a better camera and the Force Touch would be iPhone 6S hallmarks. Force Touch will allow the device can differentiate between a hard and soft touch to perform different actions. The camera on the device could further the iPhone's reputation in the camera department. Some reports have claimed the device could feature a two-lens system and record 4K video.

Apple Sim is another much talked about feature that can help users easily switch between networks. While still in development, it may not be that much of a surprise if it is launched with the new iPhone.

Apple has reportedly stockpiled around 90 million handsets of the new iPhone, indicating that the company expects a bigger reception that what the iPhone 6 got when it launched. However, some market observers believe the new iPhone may not eclipse its predecessor in sales.
