Black Teenager Shot Dead By Cops Had Tweeted 'I Don't Want To Die Youngggg'
In Texas, an unarmed teenager shot dead by a trainee police officer had tweeted just one week earlier: "I don't want to die young"r, according to unilad.
The 19-year-old, Christian Taylor, was shot dead by Arlington Police Officer Brad Miller. He crashed through a car showroom's window and got into a fisticuff with the Texas police officers.
The police officers had gone near him at Angelo State University, and then shot him after a brief "altercation". The Arlington Police Department said that the officers were actually responding to a burglary call when they happened to shoot the unarmed black teenager, according to nbcnews.
Strangely, his shooting was on the anniversary weekend of Michael Brown's shooting in Ferguson, Missouri. That death had created outrage and a storm all over the US.
Taylor had tweeted all of last year, how he distrusted the cops. He also wrote, just one week before he was shot, that he did not want to die young.
A friend confirmed that the Twitter account that gives a reference of Isaiah 54:17 - "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn" was written by Taylor.
And now Brad Miller, the officer-in-training who had killed him has been sent on leave. A major investigation into Taylor's death is underway.
