Kim Kardashian took a selfie with presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who is expected to watch the presidential debate that took place when the snap was posted in the reality TV star's Twitter.

According to ABC News, Kim was on her way to a fundraising event in supporting Hillary Clinton on Thursday with main stars, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber with their music manager, Scooter Braun, ABC said.

"...excited to be meeting our next President tonight!! Maybe she'll take a selfie with me," the 34-year old celebrity shared to her fans together while the debate is going on.

Hours from her last post, North West's mom updated her Twitter fans that her wish was granted and she took a snap with her favorite president candidate.

"I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident"

The fundraising event is said to have cost $US2700 ($3659) per person and has been attended by 250 people, On Politics said.

Aside from Kim and Kanye West, other celebrities like Kris Jenner, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Jessica Alba, Tom Hanks and Usher are also present during the event.

Kim Kardashian's political leanings have been regarded as 'nebulous' and 'overwhelmingly politically progressive' with previous claims in 2012 saying that she is a 'liberal Republican' who does not support then-candidate Mitt Romney, Sydney Morning Herald said.

Despite her strong support for Republicans, the fashion icon also hinted to have sympathy for the Democrats.

Contrary to Kim, Kanye West has been very transparent on his support for the Democrats as shown in a Twitter post back in November 2014.

"I'm supporting the Democratic ticket in these midterms," as what the hiphop artist said.
