Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Are A Couple In Crisis In 'By The Sea' Trailer
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's fans can now take a sneak peek at the power duo's baby 'By The Sea' as its trailer has been released on the web on Wednesday this week.
In a span of one minute and 15 seconds, one can see a juxtaposition of scenes set in 1970s France portraying a failing marriage of Roland (Brad) and Vanessa (Angie) who clearly hated each other, E! Online said.
The viewers are made to feel a pervading feeling of sadness in the clips as Roland goes on with his business but drowns his sorrows with a drink and cigar in his hand while Vanessa sulks at home taking pills and crying the whole time.
The built-up can be further felt when each of them would try to reach out the other with Roland saying, "Are we ever going to talk about it? Do you hate me?"
"You know my reason," Vanessa replies.
In an earlier interview with People, Angelina Jolie, who writes and directs the film, said that 'By The Sea' will talk about the transformation of Roland and Vanessa's marriage divided into three stages.
"It focuses on three couples, all at different stages in their lives. And at its center are the questions of what happened to Roland [Pitt] and Vanessa [Jolie Pitt] and why they are in the place they are now," the mother-of-six told the publication.
Jolie and her team, however, did not reveal other details about the plot of the story aside from what can be seen in the trailer.
The lack of other details (except for Angie's slapping of Brad's face) caught the attention of Time magazine saying in its headlines that 'the trailer revealed nothing' but 'it looks interesting' which may encourage Brad and Angie's fans to wait for its release on November 13 this year.
