Nick Gordon Mourns the Death of Bobbi Kristina Brown at the Beach
Nick Gordon, who was banned from attending the funeral of his long-time partner, Bobbi Kristina Brown, mourned her death by going to a beach.
"Nick went to the beach with me on Friday during the services," Gordon's mother, Michele Gordon told PEOPLE. "He said the beach was always their favorite place to go, so he decided that he would honor her at a place that they both loved."
Roughly one week ago, Michele said to NBC News (via The Mirror) that Bobbi Kristina's death was taking a toll on Gordon, who has not been able to see her for months.
She said, "The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family. Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart. Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time."
According to some reports, Gordon, who was dating Bobbi Kristina when she was found unresponsive in her bathtub back in January, had asked her father, Bobby Brown and her aunt, Pat Houston, for their permission to attend the funeral, which took place at St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia.
The email reportedly said (via PEOPLE), "I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye. I'm begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance. Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there."
The two, however, decided not to allow Gordon to come. The police are currently investigating how Bobbi Kristina ended up in her bathtub. Early autopsy reports did not determine whether or not there was any foul play involved. However, Gordon is reportedly a suspect.
Gordon is also facing a $40 million civil lawsuit that was filed by Bobbi Kristina's conservators. The suit is claiming that Gordon manipulated Bobbi Kristina into giving him "large portion" of her money.
