Taylor Swift Says Dating the Same People has not Hurt her Friendships
Boys will never come in between Taylor Swift and her girlfriends.
The 25-year-old "Bad Blood" singer recently opened up about how "dating the same people" has not hurt her relationship with her girlfriends.
"We even have girls in our group who have dated the same people," Swift said in the September issue of Vanity Fair. "It's almost like the sisterhood has such a higher place on the list of priorities for us. It's so much more important than some guy that it didn't work out with."
Swift, who has dated several men over the years, is currently happy with 31-year-old British DJ, Calvin Harris, who was once romantically linked to Ellie Goulding, although those rumors were never confirmed. Goulding revealed that she had set them up. Swift and Harris have been dating for almost five months.
Swift has also dated Joe Jonas, who is now dating her gal pal, supermodel Gigi Hadid. Despite Swift and Jonas' nasty breakup, Swift has been seen double dating with the couple. The singer and BFF Selena Gomez both dated Taylor Lautner at one point.
"When you've got this group of girls who need each other as much as we need each other, in this climate, when it's so hard for women to be understood and portrayed the right way in the media," Swift explained. "Now more than ever we need to be good and kind to each other and not judge each other -- and just because you have the same taste in men, we don't hold that against each other."
In the interview, Swift, who is currently on her "1989" World Tour," also talked about standing up to Apple Music, becoming friends with Kanye West via Jay Z and hoping to use her celebrity status for the greater good.
