‘The Bachelorette’ Update: Kaitlyn Talks about that Snapchat Mistake

Kaitlyn Bristowe, this season's bachelorette, has finally addressed her Snapchat mistake that almost spoiled the show's ending.

In the shot, which has since circulated the Internet endlessly, Bristowe appears to be in bed with then-contestant Shawn B, leading many people at that time to believe that he was the season's winner. When the picture was uploaded, Bristowe still had a lot of guys left to choose from.

In order to keep the ending a surprise, Bristowe and the producers tried to make up another story. However, not everyone was buying it. Now, with the season over, Bristowe explained what had happened.

"We get so excited to do couple things like take pictures," she said to E! News. "We were on Snapchat sending to one of the producers, just because they're the only people that really know we're together, and I accidentally hit it to my story instead of as a private snap."

Bristowe added, "I didn't realize I'd done that, so we're talking, and Shawn picks up his phone and he's on Twitter, and suddenly he's like, 'Oh my gosh!' He started hyperventillating. We felt really, really bad."

Bristowe accepted Shawn's proposal in the season finale, which aired this past Monday. The 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring, which is reportedly worth $150,000, is the largest rock yet.

The newly engaged couple revealed that they have plans to live in Nashville but have a summer home in Vancouver. In terms of career choices, Bristowe said they might do something fitness-oriented (Shawn was a personal trainer).

"I feel like we're just too simple for New York!" she said. "We want a backyard because we want dogs and I feel like you can't do that here. That's something I really can't wait for."

Bristowe added that she would like four or five kids in the future.
