Bobbi Kristina Brown Latest Update: Dies Three Years After Mom Whitney Houston at 22
Whitney Houston's only child left behind after the famous singer's sudden death in February 2012, Bobbi Kristina Brown died at age 22. She had been in coma state for almost six months and after staying in a hospital for months, she was placed in hospice care. One of her friends found Brown unresponsive in her bathtub back in January, NBC news reported.
Since she was hospitalized, her doctors and family have refrained from giving false hope about her prognosis and her chance of survival. It was said that Brown had suffered from brain damage and an irreversible one.
NBC news reported that Brown's family wrote in a statement: "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months ."
Bobbi Kristina was the only child of late music legend Whitney Houston, from her marriage with ex husband musician, singer Bobby Brown. When the two were married, the whole family including Bobbi Kristina were in the public eye, especially during the shooting of the reality show "Being Bobby Brown." Bobbi Kristina, as the child of two successful and talented superstars and granddaughter of another legend, Cissy Houston, was considered as music royalty, NBC news said.
Bobbi Kristina, who was also a singer like her mother and father, allegedly married her boyfriend Nick Gordon after her mother's unexpected death. However Brown's family denies the existence of such knot tied between Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon. Gordon was raised by Whitney Houston since he was left an orphan at age 12 and he used to call Houston "mom", had a tattoo of her face on his arm, despite the fact that she never took legal steps to adopt him.
Gordon and Brown's controversial relationship came under increased scrutiny when Brown's conservator sued Gordon, claiming he physically abused Bobbi Kristina and withdrew $11,000 cash from her account when she was lying in the hospital hospital bed unconscious, NBC reported.
