Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Divorce Rumors: Brad's Mom Trying to Keep Mr. and Mrs. Smith Together
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are very close to calling it quits but the "Fury" actor's mother will not be letting them divorce so easily.
Celeb Dirty Laundry is claiming that the couple, who has been together since 2005 and got married in 2014, was planning on announcing their divorce this November after they finish promoting "By The Sea," a film that they have been working on together. Jolie wrote and directed the film. She and Pitt play a married couple who have drifted apart but are starting to rekindle their romance while staying at a quiet, seaside town (via IMDB.com).
The website cited an article from In Touch Magazine that claims Pitt's mom, Jane, is begging them to work out their issues for the sake of their children. According to the article, the couple has been too busy with work that they have forgotten about each other.
"In Jane's eyes neither Brad nor Angie have made their relationship a priority over the years," an insider said. "Their careers, charity work, and children have always come first. She really thinks that if they had some alone time as a couple they could make it work."
Other reports stated that Pitt has been fed up with the endless arguments and decided to check out of the marriage a few months ago. They are now allegedly waiting for the right time to tell their children about their impending separation.
Rumors earlier this year claimed that the couple received counseling to work out their issues. The sources stated, at that time that the therapy was extremely helpful.
"Angie's friend recommended this amazing therapist, and they've been talking everything over with her," an insider told OK! magazine (via the Belfast Telegraph) back in April. "She's the third person in their marriage right now, and it's been life-changing! The main thing they agreed on was that the children should be protected as much as possible from what was happening. They poured all their effort into the kids, and there wasn't much energy left for each other."
Despite these rumors, Pitt still has a tattoo honoring his family. The ink, which is located on his right arm, features the first name initials of his wife and their six children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and twins, Vivienne and Knox, 7.
JustJared.com reported that the ink is at least two-years-old.
