"Fast and Furious 8" is not slated to come out in theaters for at least another year or two but rumors about the cast have been circulating nonstop.

According to the latest ones, Cody Walker, who filled in for the late Paul Walker in "Furious 7," might be returning to the franchise but as a different character. Walker played Brian O'Connor after his brother Paul unexpectedly died from a car accident in 2013 before the movie was finished filming.

"Fast and Furious 8" will be the first movie in the franchise without Paul. Vin Diesel revealed that the movie will take place in New York. Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez are all expected to return.

Other rumors are claiming that Eva Mendes might reprise her role as special agent Monica Fuentes. Her character will reportedly be in a love triangle with Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and Letty (Rodriguez).

Helen Mirren and Ruby Rose from "Orange is the New Black" are rumored to be joining the cast as well. Mirren is rumored to be playing a villain alongside Deckard Shaw (Statham). Rose's role is unclear for the time being.

"Furious 7" was the most successful movie in the franchise. Since it was released, the movie has grossed more than $350 million domestically and more than $1.17 billion worldwide. It is currently the third highest-grossing movie of all time and the highest-grossing movie of 2015.
