The buzz around an impending iPhone 6S has gotten louder last few weeks. Now, new images have emerged which claim to show the exterior of Apple's latest phone-to-be-released.

Apple fans may be disappointed when they fail to spot earthshaking differences between the images and iPhone 6. That is because there aren't very many, reports 9 to 5 Mac, which got hold of the images from a 'trusted source' in the know of Apple's supply chain. The accompanying report however suggests hope, by stating that the mounting grooves in the chassis clearly suggest difference. Most importantly, the images suggest that the iPhone 6S would be a 4.7 inch device.

The differences however end there. Holes on rear for camera, mic and LED flash are identical and even suggest the new iPhone 6S won't have a dual-lens camera as has been rumored. The position of other essentials including speaker out, headphone, mic and lightning holes is identical to that of current models, PC Magazine reports.

In related news, CNET served the scoop behind iPhone 6S's faster browsing speeds. Qualcomm chip called, MDM9635M which the iPhone 6S and its bigger cousin iPhone 6S Plus could be equipped with, can help break the 300 Mbps barrier on LTE networks, about twice the download speeds that current iPhone models are capable of.

The iPhone 6S may launch this fall.
