Next iteration of MacBook Air is expected to sport thinner design to tackle the upcoming Surface Pro 4.

MacBook Air 2016 is also said to equip the Intel Core M-based Skylake processors, an upgrade to the company's Broadwell units, that are powering the current generation of MacBook Airs.

The upgraded processors will reportedly boost the laptop's performance and power.

Speculations are that MacBook Air 2016 won't likely be revealed this year.

Rumors also suggest that the upcoming MacBook Air will make use of the reversible Type USB-C port.

It might also sport a higher definition Retina display for its two size options-one at 13 inches and the other at 15 inches.

With all these impressive specs, MacBook Air 2016 is certainly going to give the purported Microsoft Surface Pro 4, a run for its money.
