Man accidentally sends text to probation officer asking for weed

It's not uncommon, but it surely can be an embarrassing thing when it happens - sending your text message to the wrong person. It can be humiliating if you send a message to your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend or embarrassing if you send it to your boss. However, one unfortunate criminal is heading back to jail after accidentally texting his probation officer asking if he had any weed.

Alvin Cross Junior was in desperate need for a quick fix of marijuana and decided to text a friend. Unfortunately, that quickly landed him in trouble when the officer alerted police, according to WALB.

Alvin Cross Junior sent his probation officer a text message saying: "You have some weed?"

A drugs squad promptly raided his home in Albany, Georgia, where they found a bag of cocaine.

Cross will spend another year in jail after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine.
