Gionee M5: First Andriod Lollipop Dual Battery Smart Phone to Drop Soon

With the upcoming flagship Elfie E8, Gionee is all set to introduce the first Android Lollipop based, Dual Battery smart phone in the global market.

The Gionee M5 is the first Android based smart phone to feature a dual battery. Though there have been many rumours flouting in the market about the phone, the Gionee M5 was listed for the China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre website. Some of the specifications of the Gionee M5 were revealed in the certification process.

The First Dual Battery smart phone, Gionee M5, will feature a 5.5 inch HD screen, with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and an Amoled display.

The M5 will work on the Android Lollipop 5.1 version and a 1.3GHz quad core processor, coupled with a 2GB of RAM.

Looking at the media side of the smart phone, the M5 will have a 8 mega pixels primary camera and a 5 mega pixels secondary camera.

The M5 will provide a 16 GB internal storage capacity, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

The M5 measures 152 x 76 x 8.6 mm, and weighs about 213 grams.

The M5 will be available in Black Gentleman, Noble White and Gold Glory colour variants.

However, the price and the battery capacity of the Gionee M5 are yet to be disclosed.
