In the upcoming Google developer's conference, the search giant might unveil the next version of Android operating system, but along with, it might also unveil a new Photos app. Recently, the screenshots of the new app were leaked online.

The set of screenshots of Google Photos App were first published by Android Police.

From the screenshots, the new Photos App looks pretty straight forward, offering a clean design. The functionality is also pretty straightforward.

"Most of the app's functionality is given away in the above screens. The app, like its current iteration, will let users search for specific people, animals, or objects, back up photos automatically, and take care of general photo management. Beyond that, the app gets a revised interface with several "views" to choose from. Users can see their photos sorted by day or month, or a "comfortable view" which tiles photos by day in a staggered grid sort of like Google+ photo albums on the web do now," Android Police noted describing the app based on the leaked screenshots.

Notably, the photos in users' accounts will also be available on the web under photos.google.com.

The Google I/O event is kicking off this week, on June 28 at the Moscone Center in San Fransisco.
