2015 CMT Music Awards Nominations: Carrie Underwood leads the Pack with 5
The 2015 CMT Music Awards nominations have been announced and Carrie Underwood leads the pack with a total of five nominations.
The former winner of "American Idol" received two nominations for video for the year for her song, "Something in the Water," which also won a Grammy, and for her duet with Miranda Lambert titled "Somethin' Bad". "Somethin' Bad" was also nominated for collaborative video of year.
Her final two nominations were in the category of female video of the year for "Something in the Water" and "Little Toy Guns."
Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney received four nominations each. They were both video of the year nominees. The category has a total of 12 videos. Some of the contenders included Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and Jason Aldean.
First year nominees included Aloe Blacc, John Legend, Katy Perry and Bob Seger. They were all nominated for the CMT Performance of the Year category.
The CMT Music Awards will air on June 10 at 8 p.m. ET. The event takes place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Voting starts Wednesday, May 13 and ends on June 8 at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can vote at CMT.com.
Tickets to the venue go on sale Saturday, May 16.
