Duet Display Now Makes iPad As Monitor For Windows PC As Well

After transforming iPads into secondary display, the Duet Display is now extending support to Windows PC as well. You can download the Duet for just $9.99 and use an iPad as a secondary screen on a Windows PC.

Notably the app requires almost no setup and is mostly just plug and play to turn the iPad into a monitor.

Reportedly, the Duet on Windows PC doesn't feel as smooth as it used to on MacBook. Another major drawback is the limitation of 1024 x 768 resolution, as Windows detects the display as a generic plug-and-play monitor. It means that it might not be used for viewing HD video.

"I was impressed with the speed and ease of use of Duet Display. If the developer can solve the CPU usage issues, it will become a compelling solution for road warriors in need of speedy extra display space. In its current form, though, I'd recommend it only for extended use if you're connected to a power source," noted Rob Griffiths of MacWorld in the review.
