Tiny Fey Strips off her Dress on 'Late Show with David Letterman'
Tina Fey stripped off her blue shift dress as a part of a hilarious stunt during her final appearance on "Late Show with David Letterman" on Thursday.
Under the dress, the comedian and actress wore spanx paired with a black leotard. In the front of the leotard, the words "Bye Dave" were printed across the torso area and the words "#LastDressEver" were written on the back.
The "30 Rock" star stated that she wanted to help him retire in style. Before she took off her dress, Fey explained to Letterman that this would be the last time she dressed up for a late night talk show.
Fey said, "First of all it's very hard work. I don't know if you're aware of the contraptions under here. It's almost medical, and I'm terrible in heels. What am I going to do put a dress on for Jimmy (Fallon)? That's creepy. He's like my brother. I'm gonna wear like special underwear for James Corden? That's not gonna happen. The next time you'll see me I'll be playing charades in a slanket."
The 44-year-old star added, "Because this is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you. My gift to you is I want to give you the dress."
Letterman, 68, then helped her unzip her dress. After Fey performed a striptease, which included shaking her butt, she received a standing ovation.
In response to Fey's stripe tease, Letterman jokingly says that they have "time for another segment" before ending the night telling Fey, "god bless you my dear."
