Meryl Streep Like We've Never Seen Her Before - As a Rocker Chick in 'Ricki And The Flash'
Meryl Streep is well known for her brilliant acting skills which has been validated by numerous Academy award nominations. However, the actress' latest movie "Ricki And The Flash" portrays her in a way that we've never seen her before.
The 65-year-old plays Ricki Rendazzo, "a guitar heroine who made a world of mistakes as she followed her dreams of rock 'n' roll stardom" in the upcoming flick, and she even went to rock star boot camp to prepare for the role.
The film stars Meryl Streep, Mamie Gummer (Streep's daughter), Kevin Kline (as Streep's ex-husband), Sebastian Stan, Rick Springfield, Audra McDonald and Ben Platt.
The mother-daughter duo has appeared together on-screen before - in 1986 film Heartburn and also in 2007 drama Evening.
