Bruce Jenner Sued for Wrongful Death in Car Crash
Reality TV star Bruce Jenner has been sued for negligence and wrongful death by the stepchildren of the woman killed in the car crash on the Southern National Highway in February that also involved the former athlete.
The lawsuit claims that Jenner's car hit the victim Kimberly Howe's car from behind which it propelled forwards where it collided head on with another vehicle.
The six page complaint filed by Howe's family however did not specify how Jenner was at fault. It claims that Jenner acted in a "negligent, reckless, careless and improper manner" and has caused them to "suffer enormous damages and losses."
Kimberly Howe's stepchildren Dana Redmond and William Howe have also said that how the incident "caused to lose, among other things, the love, affection, support, comfort, society, financial support and more" from the death of their stepmother.
During the time of the incident, Jenner was driving his Cadillac Escalade rear ended Howes car causing it to veer of into the opposite lane that had oncoming traffic. Jenner was not injured in the crash while Howe died on the scene.
The lawsuit comes only a week after Jenner declared on national television that he identified himself as a women making him the most high profile American to come out as transgender.
Jenner, 65, rose to fame when he won a gold the decathlon event at the Montreal Olympics of 1976 where fans gave him the unofficial title 'World's greatest athlete."
