The Nepal Earthquake disaster has left thousands of people on the streets. People have lost their houses, money and are in need of food, shelter and medical assistance.

International aid continues to arrive in Nepal to help the victims of this grave disaster.

The United Nations is appealing for US $415 million in emergency aid to provide help for the millions in need of food, water, shelter, medical treatment and protection over the next three months. Reports have given approximate figures of more than 600,000 homes being damaged in the calamity.

Jamie McGoldrick, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Nepal said, "The timing of the intervention remains of the essence. Although I am heartened by the progress of the response to date, the efforts need to be maintained and stepped up to ensure vital assistance reaches all the affected, especially those in the remote areas".

Many countries around the globe have deployed their members to assist people in Nepal. However, the bad weather conditions have posed difficulty to the rescue operations in the country. Relief Forces find it difficult to locate dead bodies amidst heavy rains.
