The NFL investigation regarding accusations that the New York Jets tampered with Darrelle Revis while he was still with the New England Patriots has come to an end. The league announced that the Jets will be fined $100,000 but will not lose any draft picks, the New York Daily News confirmed via a league source.

The tampering case was started after Jets owner Woody Johnson made comments about Darrelle Revis during a press conference in December.

He had said, "If I thought I could've gotten Darrelle for that [contract], I probably would've taken him. It was our best judgment to do what we did. Darrelle is a great player. I'd love Darrelle to come back."

At the time, Revis was still under contract with the Patriots.

The league source stated that the Patriots will not be punished for tampering. The Jets had filed a tampering charge against the Patriots after owner Robert Kraft said in March, "The fan in me wishes he (Revis) was still with us," after Revis had agreed to return to New York.

Revis will don a Jets jersey once again. The cornerback signed a five-year, $70 million deal with the Jets after winning a Super Bowl with the Patriots.

He spent six seasons with the Jets before he was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013.
