Protests in Baltimore Continue as People Demand Answers in Death of Freddie Gray
The City of Baltimore continues to be the site of protests by people demanding answers in the death of Freddie Gray, who was killed during an arrest by Baltimore Police.
Gray died after 80 percent of his spinal cord was severed during the arrest. In the official police report, the officers involved said that he was involved peacefully and without a struggle. In a video of the arrest, Gray can be seen being dragged to a police van as his legs appear to be totally limp. Bystanders filming the incident can also be heard remarking on the state of his legs.
As the city demands answers, protesters have been in the streets to keep the pressure up on the city government. The Department of Justice has also opened a civil rights investigation into Gray's death.
One way the protesters have increased the temperature on the city government is by closing down intersections.
