5 Bodies Found Dead in Phoenix Home Following Police Standoff
Following a tense standoff with police, five people have been found dead inside a Phoenix home after a shooting, according to reports.
An Associated Press report did not immediately release the names and ages of the three men and two women that were found dead. However, police have confirmed that the bodies found are adult and not children.
"Our dispatcher could hear shots fired in the background while that call was coming in," Crump said. "A caller had been able to escape the home at that point, get out and start to give us information."
One woman was reportedly able to escape with two children and called 911 before leaving the home.
According to ABC 15 the shooter was among the victims following what they believe was a family dispute.
Police spokesman Sergeant Trent Crump said a robot was used to search the house before officers were sent in and the bodies discovered.
Police officers have not revealed how many people fired shots, but they say they are currently not looking for any outstanding suspects.
