Samsung has formed a dedicated team of about 200 employees to work exclusively for Apple, according to a report by Bloomberg. The team's responsibility is to create displays for Apple devices.

The Bloomberg report, citing the people with direct knowledge, said that the team is only allowed to share information about Apple's business within the group.

The team was formed on April 1. It also helps Apple with sales as the company is now the biggest external customer for Samsung components.

Reportedly, Samsung Display and Apple spokesman declined to comment on the report.

Samsung and Apple last year agreed to drop all patent litigation outside the United States, scaling down a protracted legal battle between the smartphone rivals, Reuters reported.

The legal battle between the two smartphone giants began in United States in 2011 when Apple accused Samsung of copying its iPhone designs.

Samsung counter alleged that Apple has been using pieces of its wireless-transmission technology without permission.
