Intel's PC-in-dongle, Compute Stick, is now available for pre-order. The device was unveiled at CES earlier this year.

According to CNET, Newegg is offering pre-order with a release date of April 24. Compute Stick is available with Windows 8.1 costing $150 and Linux for $110. Amazon has also listed the products but hasn't mentioned price. The device transforms into a computer when plugged into a monitor or television's HDMI port.

Compute Stick is powered by an Intel Atom quad core processor, 2 GB Ram, 32 GB and offers wireless, Bluetooth connectivity options. A Bluetooth keyboard and mouse can be connected to Compute Stick for complete computer experience.

When it was showcased at CES in January, Intel announced that the Compute Stick Linux version would retail for $ 89 and not the price it is now available for.

PC World reported that Intel's device can expect to be the smallest among a dozen other miniature computer offerings in the market. Other similar devices include Asus Chromebit which is powered by Google Chrome operating system.
