A tragic event rolled out in Tulsa, Oklahoma Thursday morning when a man apparently shot his wife and two young sons, then killed himself at the family's home in east Tulsa, according to reports.

According to reports, police say Sudheer Khamitkar, 42, shot his 38-year-old wife, Smita Haval Khamitkar, and their sons Arnav Khamitkar, 10 and Arush Khamitkar, 6.

"Right now we still don't know the motive behind the murder-suicide," said Sgt. Shane Tuell, according to the Associated Press.

There was no indication of forced entry and no suspects are being sought, authorities said. A back door was unlocked and a handgun was found near the father's body.

'The evidence indicates that the father shot and killed the children and the wife before turning the gun on himself,' said homicide Sergeant Dave Walker in a news release.

'There is evidence of multiple gunshots throughout the house. All the bodies were found in different rooms throughout the house.'

The killing of people may have occurred as many as two days before the bodies were discovered, Tulsa Police Captain Matt McCord said. Both of the boys were younger than 10 years old and the bodies were found in separate rooms, police said.

The Local broadcaster KTUL said that the family's neighbors had no indication there were any problems in the household prior to the shooting.

The family had lived at the residence for 10 years with no record of criminal activity or domestic violence at their address, investigators said.

"Our kids played with their boys all the time, and played with them all day this last Saturday, we loved 'em," neighbor Stephen Wiseman told KTUL.
