Facebook's New App Lets You Create Videos With Friends

After Twitter launched Periscope, Facebook has introduced a new app on similar lines that lets you create collaborative videos with friends.

The app called Riff, lets users make short video clip (under 20 seconds) and then define it by single hash-tagging topic. Friends of the users can then view that video and add their own clip to it.

"Anyone can start by creating a video. All you have to do is give it a topic, like #AprilFools, then your friends can view it and choose to add their own clips on that topic. Once a friend adds a clip to your video, your friend's friends will also be shown the video in Riff and will be able to add to it. The potential pool of creative collaborators can grow exponentially from there, so a short video can become an inventive project between circles of friends that you can share to Facebook, or anywhere on the internet, at any time," Facebook explained in a blog post.

As of now, the app doesn't have the 'like' or 'comment' feature and neither does it allow videos to be edited.

Riff is available for both iOS and Android platforms.
