A woman from Northeast Ohio has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend in what appears to be an argument over chips and salsa.

Ronnie D Buckner, 61, told the cops about how his girlfriend Phyllis Jefferson, 50, stabbed him in pelvis area with a pen when she accused him of eating all their salsa.

Jefferson then walked over to the TV and was about to throw it on the floor. Buckner intervened and grabbed the TV just in time.

This enraged Jefferson further and she went to kitchen and came out with a knife which she used to stab her boyfriend in the stomach.

She then fled the scene but was apprehended later on Interstate 77 south of U.S route 224. Jefferson was charged with felony assault and is currently residing in the Summit County Jail.

Buckner was shifted to Akron General Medical Center and his condition is said to be stable.
