‘James Bond’ Crew Accused of Going on a Drunken Rampage on Flight to Mexico City

The crew for the upcoming James Bond movie, "Spectre" is reportedly being investigated for going on a drunken rampage that triggered an international air safety alert while on a flight from Stansted Airport in Essex to Mexico City, the Telegraph reported.

According to the report, around 150 members of the crew, which included stunt men, cameramen and technicians, were aboard Airbus A330 and allegedly engaged in "intolerable behavior."

After drinking, members had vomited and urinated in the aisles. Some were verbally abusive to the aircraft crewmembers while others ignored safety regulations and rules by lighting up and smoking. One claim stated that a member even took a pin out of a secured cabin door, which, if true, threatened the safety of everyone on board.

Since the event occurred near American airspace, a spokesman for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration stated that it would be investigating the claims. The incident occurred 11 days ago.

The Portuguese company that provided the plane, Hi Fly, filed a report that confirmed that some of the passengers were indeed intoxicated. The report continued and stated that the drunken behavior toned down during the flight. The mess cost more than $1000 to clean up.

Some reports are claiming that the company told Eon, the Bond production company that they would be willing to supply a plane for the trip back only if there is no alcohol on board. None of the passengers can show up drunk before boarding as well.

"We are investigating the matter so cannot comment further at this time," an EoN spokesman said.

"The behavior of a handful of crew members got out of hand and made things very unpleasant for their fellow passengers. Eon has apologized to all the crew members who had to endure this intolerable behavior," a source said according to DailyMail.

The members were headed for Mexico for a two-week shoot. None of the main cast members were aboard the private aircraft.

"Spectre" opens in theaters on Nov. 6, 2015.
