If you're about to ditch your phone for an iPhone, there can't be better time than this. The company has expanded its trade-in program to take Android, Windows Phones and BlackBerry devices for credit towards a new iPhone.

Select Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry smartphones will be accepted by Apple stores for credit toward the purchase of an iPhone 5C, 5S, 6 or 6 Plus. The trade-in program initially launched in 2013 earlier accepted only iPhones.

The new trade-in program will be available for both online and in-store.

"We had the highest number of customers new to iPhone last quarter than in any prior launch," Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the company's January earnings call. "The current iPhone lineup experienced the highest Android switcher rate in any of the last three launches in the three previous years."

Currently, the new iPhone trade-in program is limited to the U.S., U.K., Canada, France, Germany and Italy. Apple is also exploring expansion of this plan to other countries like China.
