Manny Pacquiao Set to Drop $12.5 Million on a ‘90210’ Home
Manny Pacquiao will spend $12.5 million on a home in Beverly Hills, CA, the Los Angeles Times confirmed.
Pacquiao has been training in Los Angeles ahead of the highly anticipated May 2 fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. The fight, which will be the very first meeting between the two, is expected to break several records.
The 10,000 square feet home with seven bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms was built in French Regency style back in 1998. In the early 2000s, the home was owned by rapper-produce Sean Combs. Features include a double-height foyer, a sweeping staircase, a chef's kitchen, a home theater with a refreshment bar and a family room.
Despite spending millions on a home, Pacquiao reportedly still has not paid all of his taxes in the Philippines. The Telegraph is reporting that the welterweight champion is being hounded by the tax department for payments that span seven years back. More specifically, the department is claiming that Pacquiao did not pay taxes in 2008 and 2009. The fighter's camp stated that since Pacquiao paid U.S. taxes during those years, he was not required to pay taxes in the Philippines.
Pacquiaao is the nation's number one taxpayer. Forbes reported that Pacquiao made $41.8 million in 2014.
