Watch out Paris, there a gold Lamborghini Aventador on the road (VIDEO)
If you thought a bedazzled Mercedes-Benz is cool, you probably have not yet seen a $6 million gold Lamborghini Aventador.
As fashion week begins, the car, which is apparently from Saudi Arabia, was spotted outside the Plaza Athenee palace hotel on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, according to MailOnline.
Lamborghini introduced the Aventador Roadster in 2012 and the model is coming with the same 6.5 liter V12 engine as the coupe. The supercar is capable of producing a total output of 690 HP (510 kW) and 690 Nm (510 lb-ft) of torque.
Due to these impressive numbers, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3 seconds, compared to the 2.9 seconds of the coupe, and it has a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph). The starting price of the drop-top supercar stands at 381,000 USD.
The gold-plated supercar appears to be the same one which has been rolling through the streets of Paris over the past few days with a distinctive 666 plate number.
However, the gold-plated car is not the first of its kind. Last year, a model gold Lamborghini Aventador went up on display in Dubai for $7.5 million, making it the most expensive model car in the world, Huffington Post reports.
The model was designed by German mechanical engineer Robert Gülpen and built from the same carbon fiber used to make Formula One cars.
"I wanted to do what no-one else has done before, to build a model car that is an 'icon within an icon,'" Gülpen said. "I wanted to create a tribute to the legend of the automobile."
