Man Hospitalized After Hearing His Penis Snap During Rough Sex
A forty-two year old man from Boston was rushed to the A&E department of the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston when he fractured his penis during sex, News.com.au reports.
The incident, which is first published in the New England Medical said that the unnamed man's penis slammed in the harder region below her partner's vagina. The act, according a report by Dr Robert J. Hartman, fractured his tunica albuginea which increases its size with the flow of blood flow during erection.
The patient is said to have heard a 'snap' when the said tissues were mutilated.
The doctors have then decided to give him an emergency surgery to control the blood flow from his discolored phallus. He is also reported to be released the morning after the operation.
"The penile fracture caused a haematoma and blood flooded the man's penis, turning it a ghastly purple, with blood coming out in the tube in which a man passes urine. The classic eggplant deformity (swelling, discoloration, and deviation away from the defect in the tunica) can be seen," according to the report written by Dr Robert J. Hartman as cited by Deccan Chronicle.
Reports from Mail Online said that doctors have warned the patient in advance that his medical condition might have negative results to his manhood including erectile dysfunction or a bend or curve in the original penis structure. These results were expected due to the damaged tissues and nerves in the male organ.
Luckily, the man who were seen by doctors three and six months after surgery did not experience the expected consequences. Further, he still have the ability to have an erection.
